Ewatomi
Listen to the voice of the drum
The melody of the gong
The voice of the sparrows
Ewatomi, the sound it all whistle
Look at the damsel dance
The Artemis of our age
To the tune of the drum, it’s her raven beauty
Who will save the swaying men?
Ewatomi, her dances brood pleasure
Steps after step, men hearts are stolen away
Medicine to the vibrant man
A diet to the sick man
The beauty that steals the hunter kills
The dancer that put a smile on a sorrow man’s face
The tune that turns the drum into a God
What a sight to behold
Ewatomi the goddess of beauty

This poem is a funny reminder of a love tale, though it takes a dive into the series between two Africans.
Akani and Ewatomi, this is my first time making a story with a poem. Part one was Ewatomi, while part two was Akani Akinkanju. You will understand better when I upload another Akinkanju on Thursday.
